NEW YORK, March 16, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The NASDAQ OMX Group, Inc.
(Nasdaq:NDAQ) announced today the results of the quarterly reranking of the
NASDAQ Q-50 Index(sm) (Nasdaq:NXTQ), which will become effective with the
market open on Monday, March 23, 2009.
The following twelve securities will be added to the Index: Career Education
Corporation (Nasdaq:CECO), Cree, Inc. (Nasdaq:CREE), Itron Inc. (Nasdaq:ITRI),
LKQ Corporation (Nasdaq:LKQX), Level 3 Communications, Inc. (Nasdaq:LVLT),
Mylan Inc. (Nasdaq:MYL), Netflix, Inc. (Nasdaq:NFLX), ONYX Pharmaceuticals,
Inc. (Nasdaq:ONXX), Open Text Corporation (Nasdaq:OTEX), Sepracor Inc.
(Nasdaq:SEPR), Thoratec Corporation (Nasdaq:THOR) and Tellabs, Inc.
(Nasdaq:TLAB).
The Index is designed to track the performance of the 50 securities that are
next in line to replace the securities currently included in the NASDAQ-100
Index(r). The NASDAQ Q-50 Index is reranked on a quarterly basis. For more

As a result of the evaluation, the following twelve securities will be removed

Corporation (Nasdaq:MSCC), Polycom, Inc. (Nasdaq:PLCM), Psychiatric Solutions,
Inc. (Nasdaq:PSYS), Patterson-UTI Energy, Inc. (Nasdaq:PTEN), Sina Corporation
(Nasdaq:SINA), Sohu.com Inc. (Nasdaq:SOHU), UAL Corporation (Nasdaq:UAUA),
Virgin Media Inc. (Nasdaq:VMED) and Woodward Governor Company (Nasdaq:WGOV).
