New Omron Switch Engineering Center Opens April 1, 2009: Adding Value in Hard Times

SCHAUMBURG, IL--(Marketwire - April 3, 2009) - With the start of their new fiscal year, April 1, Omron Electronic Components LLC is proud to bring a new Switch Engineering Center to the Americas to meet the demands for customized product for the Automotive, Appliance, Alternative energy, HVAC and Digital markets. Adding to their 75 years of quality component experience, Omron's Raleigh, North Carolina-based center is committed to increasing value and service to customers needing switching solutions despite challenging industry climates.

The new center helps facilitate the engineering expertise from Omron's Switch factories in Japan and Asia to the Americas. This allows customers to deal directly with USA-based engineers and provides faster turn-around times and immediate customer support.

Furthermore, the Center provides customers with the unique features that they require for their switch designs. Such custom requirements could include, but are not limited to, special levers, terminal bends, customized wire harnessing, different plastics/materials, and unique operating forces.

New functions include local QA testing and Value-add design including CAD work and full time engineering support from Japanese and local engineers.
