Carbon Sciences Promotes Byron Elton to Chairman and CEO

SANTA BARBARA, CA--(Marketwire - May 22, 2009) - Carbon Sciences Inc. (OTCBB : CABN ), the
developer of a breakthrough technology to recycle carbon dioxide (CO2)
emissions into gasoline and other fuels, today announced that Byron Elton
has been promoted to Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO. Elton
replaces Derek McLeish, who recently announced his retirement.
Commenting on the succession Derek McLeish said, "My retirement and Byron's
