NEW YORK, June 12, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (PwC) Advisory services director Glen Hobbs will deliver a breakout session focusing on Information Technology (IT) Management and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) at the HP Technology Forum & Expo 2009 June 15-18th at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. Mr. Hobbs will address the concept of a "Business Value Platform," which consists of an organization's key IT assets aligned in a way that focuses primarily on the value provided to the business. The session will take place on Thursday June 18th at 8:00 a.m. in Jasmine G.
Mr. Hobbs will outline and detail elements that the IT function needs to have in place in order to delver and sustain business value for an organization. The MAGNA (Method for the Advancement & Governance of an eNabling Architecture) CARTA (Composite Application Real-Time Architecture) framework suggested by PwC is a pragmatic approach to enhancing and aligning IT architecture, methodology and governance in order to produce the "Business Value Platform." In his presentation, Mr. Hobbs will emphasize the benefits of SOA and open standards as enablers to create optimal value for the organization.
"It is our primary goal to help our clients understand the key elements that drive IT value," said Glen Hobbs, director with PricewaterhouseCoopers Advisory practice. "Companies will garner the most from IT if they can understand the notion of a 'Business Value Platform,' the MAGNA CARTA framework that enables it, and how architecture, methodology and governance can be combined to drive value."
The HP Technology Forum & Expo is the largest event for IT professionals using HP technologies. Customers and partners from around the world gather for learning in key technology areas and an in-depth look at the newest IT solutions and emerging technologies.
