Association of Energy Services Professionals Announces New Training Courses for Energy Efficiency Professionals


PHOENIX, July 8, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Association of Energy Services Professionals (www.aesp.org) is pleased to introduce new training courses designed for professionals serving in the area of energy efficiency. The trainings are offered under the AESP Institute, which serves to provide educational opportunities to individuals looking to expand their knowledge base.

Trainings being offered include:



 * Elements of Marketing Your Energy Efficiency Program -- this course
   is ideal for individuals new to energy efficiency marketing or those
   seeking new and innovative ways to market their residential, low-
   income and/or commercial and industrial programs.

 * Principles of Evaluation and Research -- this course is designed for
   those new to evaluating, monitoring or tracking energy efficiency
   program results. The course delves into the importance of research
   and evaluation, describes different evaluation methodologies and
   helps develop an effective evaluation plan.

 * Advanced Demand-side Management (DSM) -- this course targets
   professionals in DSM needing to significantly expand their knowledge
   base and thoroughly explore DSM issues, trends, concepts, and
   statistics in much greater detail.

 * Introduction to the Principles of Demand-side Management (DSM) --
   this is AESP's longest running and most popular training.  It
   provides an overview of the key components of DSM, program planning,
   economics, implementation and evaluation.

All of the trainings feature practical exercises, case studies, best practices and lessons learned. Attendees also receive a Certificate of Completion upon conclusion of the course.
