GerrityStone Hoists Over 2000 Pounds of Stone up Seven Floors in Downtown Boston

Woburn, MA--(Marketwire - July 20, 2009) - GerrityStone, New England's premiere interior and exterior custom stonework specialist, blocked off a section of Congress Street in Boston on Wednesday, July 15th to successfully hoist three rare and one-of-a-kind stonework slabs up seven stories to the site of the Boston Magazine Concept Home at the FP3 condo development. GerrityStone is providing all the stonework for this exclusive showhouse.

A crane was utilized to lift three granite pieces each weighing between 600 to 700 pounds up the side of the building and over a glass wall and deck, where four GerrityStone employees then unhooked the cables and hand-carried each one safely into the penthouse.

Boston Magazine's 2009 Concept Home located at the FP3 - 346 Congress Street in Boston, is being designed under the direction of famed interior designer David Hacin. Once the home is completed, tours will be given to the public with the monies going to charity.
