CashGuard strengthens the grip in the Scandinavian market with Danish distribution agreement



CashGuard AB, a wholly owned subsidiary of PSI Group ASA and leading
provider of secure cash handling solutions for grocery and retail
trade, has signed a distribution agreement with Danish Scanvægt
Nordic A/S. The agreement comprises distribution and service of
CashGuard's cash handling solutions in Denmark - and represents an
important strategic move in liaison with a familiar partner in a
Scandinavian market with a significant anticipated potential.

- This marks an important milestone for PSI and CashGuard as we now
have an offensive sales and service network in place across the
entire Nordic region. In principle, this means we are taking a
further leap forward with increased availability and sales pressure
related to CashGuard throughout the Nordics. With an installed base
of approximately 14 000 CashGuard systems, of which almost all are
delivered in Sweden and Norway, a significant additional potential in
the Danish and Nordic market is expected - which may constitute one
of the strongest growth markets for CashGuard - as a natural
continuation of PSI's successful growth in the Norwegian and Swedish

leading supplier of cash handling solutions in the Danish market,

- Before the summer we entered into a corresponding distribution
agreement for CashGuard in the Finnish market. This means that we
during a short time frame and in accordance with the strategy for the
internationalisation of CashGuard, have secured a solid platform for
further growth in our local markets with enhanced ability to provide
complete cash handling solutions to chains with operations in several
Scandinavian and Nordic countries. As a leading partner for large
chains within grocery and specialist trade - with a skilled and
locally based service organisation in all markets - the impact of the
operational work also increases, adds Jørgen Waaler.

With strongly increasing demand for CashGuard's cash handling
solutions, and several new framework agreements with leading chains
in Norway and Sweden so far this year, the prospects for growth and
profitability in this field are good - both in the Nordic markets and
in new markets in Europe and internationally.

to CashGuard and we perceive the Danish marketplace to be
particularly mature for this type of state-of-the-art cash handling
solutions as the overall market penetration to date has been low
compared with both the Swedish and Norwegian markets. With special

make sure to take full advantage of the leading position also in this

Scanvægt Nordic A/S is a technology and service partner for grocery
and retail trade in Denmark - with a very similar position to PSI's
Retail Solutions in Norway and Sweden. Following several years of
cooperation and a similar product portfolio, for instance within
scales and labels, the customer base is quite identical. This
provides a good starting point for a commercial commitment to
CashGuard in the Danish market. As part of the initial cooperation
mainly test and pilot deliveries of CashGuard systems are expected
during the current year. Together with Scanvægt the objective is to
establish a leading market position for CashGuard in Denmark.
