COPsync Presents Its Information Sharing Technology At the National Association of Fugitive Investigators Conference

CANYON LAKE, Texas, Aug. 17, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- COPsync, Inc. (OTCBB:COYN), a software technology provider to law enforcement and emergency service professionals, announced today that the Company's management team attended and presented at the annual National Association of Fugitive Investigators Conference in Baltimore, Maryland from August 9-12.

The conference provided COPsync an opportunity to showcase, and demonstrate what the Company believes is the first and only integrated software product that has the ability to provide a real-time, nationwide information-sharing network for law enforcement officers in a mobile environment. By utilizing the COPsync software, all users on the software network are able to view all law enforcement activity generated on a particular subject or fugitive, even to the point of being able to view reports or citations. If an individual has been determined to be a safety threat, has an active warrant for their arrest, is listed as a runaway or otherwise flagged in the system, all law enforcement officers having contact with that individual are immediately alerted. This information allows law enforcement officers to prepare and respond intelligently to a threat, which is especially important when dealing with fugitives.

"Fugitive investigators do not have the luxury to operate on poor information. Lack of information or poor communication can result in tragic consequences. COPsync's real-time information sharing technology allows all officers to have mission critical information at the point of incident," stated COPsync President, Shane Rapp. Rapp continued by stating, "It was an honor to be one of only eight technology providers selected to attend the NAFI conference in Baltimore, and an even greater honor to have been selected as a guest speaker." COPsync was given the opportunity to present its software solution to all of the attendees and exhibit its offering for three days during the conference.

Founded in 1991, The National Association of Fugitive Investigators is a nonprofit corporation with a Board of Directors. The Association has grown from 50 members at the first meeting in South Carolina in 1991 to over 800 members representing all 50 states. The National Association of Fugitive Investigators Directory provides the most updated list of contacts available for Fugitive Investigations throughout the Country. Our efforts have produced a directory that represents forty-eight (48) States and Fugitive Units from States, County, Local, and Federal agencies within those states.
