Diversified Global Graphics Group's (DG3) North American Division Announces the Renewal of Its FSC Certification and the Addition of SFI and PEFC Certifications

JERSEY CITY, N.J., Aug. 19, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- DG3 North America, Inc., a global leader in graphic and digital communications solutions, announced today it has achieved certification with SFI (Sustainable Forestry Initiative) and PEFC (Program for the Endorsement of Forest Certification) and has renewed its FSC certification.

The SFI sustainable forestry certification program is one of the largest in the world with over 160 million acres certified across North America. The SFI program is designed to promote responsible environmental behavior and sound forest management including measures to protect water quality, biodiversity, wildlife habitat, species at risk and forests of exceptional conservation value.

PEFC is a global umbrella organization for the assessment and mutual recognition of national forest certification programs developed in a multi-stakeholder process. These national programs build upon the inter-governmental processes for the promotion of sustainable forest management, a series of ongoing mechanisms supported by 149 governments in the world covering 85% of the world's forest area.

"We have a strong commitment to the environment as do our customers," said Joe Lindfeldt, EVP Sales & Marketing. "By securing certifications from internationally recognized agencies, we continue to reinforce our environmental efforts and reassure our customers that we're focused on being environmentally responsible and will continue to use sustainable resources as an integral part of our business."

DG3 is committed to environmental initiatives and manages the effort through an internally appointed Green Team comprised from a cross section of staff throughout the business. The team identifies and executes programs with positive environmental implications for the community. Among these initiatives are 100% recycling within offices, SFI and PEFC chain of custody certifications, FSC accreditation and other initiatives.

"The SFI and PEFC certifications will continue to support our goal in reducing our environmental footprint. As an organization we have a clear understanding that sustainability is at the heart of our business," commented Tom Saggiomo, President and COO of the DG3 Group.
