SAN JOSE, CA--(Marketwire - September 8, 2009) - Ocarina Networks today announced the immediate availability of its industry-leading storage optimization solution for Hitachi Data Systems' latest midrange NAS models, the 3080 and 3090. The combined solution with the Ocarina ECOsystem allows Hitachi Data Systems to deliver one of the most advanced yet cost-effective midrange NAS solutions in the storage industry.

The Ocarina ECOsystem for Hitachi Data Systems seamlessly integrates with the Hitachi NAS family, including the newly released 3080 and 3090, as well as the existing Hitachi High-performance NAS 3100 and 3200. The combined solution provides a cost effective way for customers to keep pace with massive data growth by dramatically increasing effective storage capacity, with little to no impact on file serving performance.
