AldeaVision Strengthens International Video Transmissions with Net Insight's Nimbra Platform

STOCKHOLM, Sweden - Net Insight, a leading developer of efficient and
scalable optical transport solutions for media, IP and broadcast
networks, today announced the initial order of the Nimbra platform
from AldeaVision, a leading provider of international video broadcast
networking services and solutions in North and Latin America.

The acquisition of Net Insight's Nimbra platforms will greatly
increase AldeaVision's existing features and capacity while providing
a smooth migration from their existing network. All while maintaining
guaranteed 100 percent QoS for their customers. By providing the
economical transport of SD and HD video, IP/Ethernet data as well as
transparent OC-3 and DS-3 service, the Nimbra platform serves as a
powerful multiservice solution for the company to efficiently migrate
their existing network and serve their customers across North and
Latin America. Furthermore the Nimbra platform provides future proof
next-generation technology such as 3Gbps and 1.5Gbps uncompressed HD,
Sonet and IP network interfaces and 10 Gbps networking.

AldeaVision offers an online booking center which allows for instant
booking of end-to-end international transmissions. With the Nimbra
platform, AldeaVision will be able to provide variable bitrate video
services with on-demand provisioning within its existing end-user
portal. Net Insight's Nimbra platform will also provide Sonet (OC-3)
services for AldeaVision's parent company, resulting in tremendous
cost savings had they purchased the Sonet equipment separately.

Additionally, the Nimbra platform adds the versatility of both
IP/Ethernet and Sonet network interfaces as well as interfaces for
data, uncompressed video and audio that will turn the network into a
powerful media contribution network.
