BEVERLY HILLS, CA--(Marketwire - October 26, 2009) - Ewire -- Salon City, Inc. (PINKSHEETS : SALN ), an emerging media company, lifestyle brand and publisher of
publications BE! Magazine and Salon City magazine, announced that on
Friday, October 16th, one of its newest recipients of Salon City's HOT 100
Salons in America was honored at a special Salon City Press Party held at
Brien O'Brien Salon in the international resort city of Palm Springs, CA.
O'Brien's party was supported by Salon City Network and the local
representative of Bumble & bumble products. Invited VIP guests attended
from across the Coachella Valley and included Salon City's founders, Steven
& Annie Casciola, who came in from West Hollywood to make the HOT 100 Salon
Event.
Owner Brien O'Brien, a native of Los Angeles, kicked off his 20-year career
in hairdressing at Vidal Sassoon Academy in 1989. Skilled in precision
haircutting, he later became a hair color expert and educator. Settling in
Palm Springs in 2002, Brien realized he found the ideal location to bring
both his passion for taking care of people and for the highest level of
hairdressing together.
Brien's team member, stylist Janice Buller, cut and colored Annie
Casciola's hair for the event, and Annie was ecstatic over the results.
"Janice is a remarkable stylist and colorist," exclaimed Annie.
Buller joined Brian's salon on opening day. She splits her time between
Palm Springs and Beverly Hills experiencing the best of both hair worlds.
She previously worked for Vidal Sassoon Salon in Beverly Hills, California
for over 25 years, and was creative director of the men's salon and later a
system salon manager. Buller has participated in numerous hair shows, TV
and editorial photo shoots, teaching and continuous education. She
specializes in fine hair solutions for both men and women. Janice comments,
"I believe that a great haircut is the foundation to great-looking hair. I
take into consideration facial features, bone structure, and of course
lifestyle to achieve the best look for the individual."
