AkzoNobel, the world's largest paints and coatings company, will consolidate the advertising roster for its global consumer paint brands into Euro RSCG.
The appointment is the result of a three-month review which followed on from the acquisition of ICI in January 2008 and is part of a new global strategy. The company enlisted the support of Oystercatchers as consultants to advise them through the process.
"We have been working with a wide range of agencies around the world," explained Kerris Bright, Chief Marketing Officer for AkzoNobel Decorative Paints. "We now want to benefit more from our global scale and plan to focus our resources on building fewer, bigger, global brands such as Dulux. After a thorough pitch process which covered the UK, France, China and Brazil, we are delighted to appoint Euro RSCG as our global advertising agency partner to deliver our business ambitions for Dulux."
Russ Lidstone, CEO of Euro RSCG London added: "It's a great honor to be selected as worldwide network for such a strong and ambitious global brand. We're very excited about the opportunity and can't wait to get started."
