Chipworks' Dick James to Present During IEDM

BALTIMORE, MD--(Marketwire - November 30, 2009) - Chipworks (www.chipworks.com), the world's leader in reverse engineering and patent infringement analysis, today announced that Senior Technical Analyst Dick James will present some of 2009's hottest advanced CMOS process technology concurrent to this year's IEDM event.

"Part of the discussion will include a walkthrough of Intel's 32 nm microprocessor using a massive 12,000 image SEM mosaic taken at 15,000X. This demonstration will use Chipworks ICWorks Software and it will be like having a microscope in the conference room," said Dick James, Senior Technical Analyst, Chipworks.

In addition, the Freescale / IBM 45 nm SOI process used in the Freescale PowerQuicc III communications processor and the AMD-ATI / TSMC 40 nm technology will be discussed.

The presentation will take place at the Baltimore Marriott, directly located across the courtyard from the IEDM Conference Hotel on Monday, December 7. Doors open at 12:00 noon, presentation from 12:30 p.m. - 1:15 p.m. A light lunch will be provided. This presentation has been scheduled to not conflict with any of the planned IEDM activities.
