The Dutch 'Autoriteit Financiele Markten' AFM has informed on December 9,
2009 as follows:

Fortis Investment Management SA has informed on November 27, 2009, that the
voting rights of Fortis Investment Management SA in SMARTRAC N.V., ISIN:
NL0000186633, WKN: A0JEHN, have fallen below the threshold of 10 percent.
Fortis Investment Management SA currently holds 9.62 percent of the voting
rights in SMARTRAC N.V. (this corresponds to 1,428,893 voting rights). Due
to the capital increase of SMARTRAC N.V. in November 2009 the holding of
Fortis Investment Management SA has been diluted and therefore has fallen
below the threshold.
