HARTFORD, Conn., Dec. 9, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The 13th annual Northeast Fishing & Hunting Expo is coming Friday, February 26 through Sunday, February 28, 2010 to the Connecticut Convention Center on 100 Columbus Ave. in Hartford, Conn. The hours are: Friday, February 26 from 12 noon to 8 p.m.; Saturday, February 27 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; and Sunday, February 28 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The 2010 Expo features hundreds of booths showcasing the latest products for both fishing and hunting enthusiasts, and is designed as a great outing for the entire family. "Attendees will discover the newest fishing, hunting and outdoor equipment by some of the top manufacturers and can purchase a variety of products," explains Kristie Gonsalves of North East Expos, Inc., organizer of the annual event. "They can meet charter boat captains, check out new models of fishing boats, enjoy the Northeast Big Buck Club's Score Your Rack exhibit, pan for gemstones, and see many demonstrations on fly casting, fly tying and archery."
Expert Fishing presenters include: Fly-fishing expert Dave Brandt; Robert Mead; Tom Baltz; Capt. Bill Brown; Al Gag; Capt. Lynn Smith; Marla Blair; Capt. John Planeta; Capt. Bruce Millar; and Captain Greg DuBrule.
Expert Hunting presenters include: Kate and Peter Fiduccia a/k/a The Deer Doctor, host of Outdoor Channel's "Wood n' Water" series; Del DelMastro and Archery Tackle & Urban Deer Hunting; and Nick Smith.
Hands-on activities include: skill testing on a Fishing Simulator, fishing at a Catch & Release Trout Pond -- if you catch a tagged fish, you win a Shakespeare rod and reel, a Laser Shooting Range, a Blue Trail Rangeand Crosman Air Shooting Range for youth, and Kids' Bass Casting Competition sponsored by the Connecticut Bass Federation Booth.
