Search for 'SilverWings' Proclaims True King -- Scott Van De Grift Unveils Arthurian Fantasy Novel

MILFORD, Ohio, Dec. 21, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Scott Van De Grift will capture readers' imaginations with the release of SilverWings, the author's newest fantasy novel published through Xlibris. A dramatic, elaborate plot running along the vein of the Arthurian legend, SilverWings unfolds an epic adventure that begins with a search for a lost sword that proclaims the rightful human king.

Centuries after the first great human king, Alexander SilverWings, had brought about the end of the racial wars and united humans and their causes under one kingdom, the humans are again in anarchy. Alexander's last descendant, Samson SilverWings III, failed to return from a hunting expedition, losing the King's Sword, SilverWings, in the process. Without an heir and without the sword, the leaderless kingdom engages in centuries of violent rivalries for the throne. Powerful, wealthy families vied aggressively for the kingship, assassinating rivals to advance their campaigns.

Finally, the Woolridge family comes into power, putting an end to the killings. The current king, Christopher Woolridge II, whose passion went into racial history, discovers the legend of SilverWings and the significance of a fabled amulet given by Samson III to a favored wench. Strongly believing that finding these lost treasures will seal his family's authority to the throne, Christopher II organizes a widespread hunt.

In SilverWings, the interesting outcomes of Christopher's search bring to life a classic adventure that will hook readers in with its myriad twists. For more information on this book, interested parties can log on to www.Xlibris.com.
