MuleSoft Tcat Server Supports Newly Released Apache Tomcat 6.0.24

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - January 21, 2010) - MuleSoft, the Web Middleware Company, today announced that the latest release of its enterprise-class web application server, Tcat Server 6 R2, has been exhaustively tested to support the newest version of Apache Tomcat 6.0.24, also announced today. Tcat Server gives Tomcat users enterprise-class functionality, including server group management, Tomcat configuration management, application provisioning, and Tomcat monitoring and performance diagnostics.

Tcat is based 100% on the Apache Tomcat binary, with zero changes to the core code. The server's enterprise-class functionality allows IT teams to migrate from heavyweight legacy platforms -- such as Oracle WebLogic or IBM WebSphere -- to the lightweight open source option, Tomcat. Users can also quickly and seamlessly deploy Tcat Server in the cloud using the Amazon EC2 plug-in. The plug-in enables customers to quickly configure, monitor and diagnose Tomcat using a web browser from any remote location.
