International Business Systems (IBS) divests car dealership products to Pentana

Australia and United Kingdom divisions specializing in car dealership solutions
divested to Australian dealership systems developer Pentana.

STOCKHOLM, February 8, 2010 - International Business Systems (STO: IBS B) the
leading application supplier for wholesale and distribution, today announced an
agreement with Australian car dealership systems developer Pentana Solutions, to
transfer certain a division from its Enterprise suite. The product families
within the division, e42 and Electronic Parts Catalogue (EPC) have unique
functionality developed by IBS for the complex car dealership market. The
agreement covers the transfer of around 30 employees in Australia and the United
Kingdom as well as customer contracts for both products.

IBS has a strong heritage in the automotive market developing technologies and
systems for its customers that enable them to cope with the demands of the
rapidly evolving, fiercely competitive and challenging environment within which
they operate.

“The divestment of these products reflects our continued initiative to focus IBS
resources on activities and markets where we see our knowledge and experience in
wholesale distribution can add value to customer operations", says Mike Shinya,
CEO and President of IBS. "The Automotive marketplace is a huge and complex one
and for a specialist company like ours this agreement means we can focus on the
automotive spare parts distribution market, which is a perfect fit for our suite
of distribution products. At the same time our car dealership products have
great potential to evolve and succeed under the Pentana brand, particularly in
the emerging markets in Asia.”

Steve Kloss, CEO, Pentana Solutions said, “We are extremely excited about the
acquisition of the IBS Automotive business. Our full time focus is the
automotive industry. We are passionate about it and about delivering value to
our customers. This acquisition provides us the opportunity to extend our
offering of quality distribution solutions in the wholesale space. We are
particularly excited by the opportunity to provide an integrated
wholesale/retail solution via “Integration Gold”. This unique offering has been
long lacking and will provide huge efficiency gains to both ends of the
automotive distribution chain.”

Employees that are affected by this change have been notified, and customers
that are running e42 or EPC products will be contacted individually to ensure
transition to Pentana.
