What: On April 27, 2010, Cisco will host a live and interactive IPTV broadcast to describe how
wireless networks are evolving to provide a Borderless
Mobility experience for organizations and their users. Executives from Cisco, along with Portland State University (PSU), will talk about the challenges facing IT organizations as the wireless network becomes increasingly mission-critical.
With the proliferation of new mobile devices entering the network and an increasing user demand for anytime, anywhere access to critical business applications, IT departments are tasked with making the
wireless LAN as reliable and high-performing as the wired network. Three obstacles have made it challenging for IT to accomplish this: limited wireless spectrum, increased interference from such equipment as cordless phones, microwave ovens and RF jammers, and a lack of
wireless expertise and training.
In this webcast, Cisco and PSU will discuss the importance of the wireless network foundation to enabling a Borderless Mobility experience, and PSU will describe how its
Cisco Unified Wireless Network is delivering a self-healing, self-optimized approach to meeting the growing demands of the university's users. The broadcast will highlight the following topics:
