In this new role, Dr. Farese will be responsible for guiding Entropic's global engineering and operations organizations, including product development, program management, quality, technical operations, and supply management.
A recognized leader in the semiconductor industry, Dr. Farese brings more than 30 years of professional technology experience to Entropic. Prior to his joining the Company, Dr. Farese held a number of executive management positions, including: CEO at Bitwave Semiconductor, which developed the industry's first programmable RFIC transceiver platform for mobile applications, President and CEO at WJ Communications, a leading provider of semiconductors, President and CEO at Tropian, a provider of cellular ASICs, and, Senior Vice President of Engineering at Palm, Inc., to name a few.
