Special Education Students Beat the Odds With Technology

TORONTO, June 16, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Mount Knowledge Holdings Inc. (OTCBB:MKHD), an educational software development, sales and training company offering innovative and proprietary learning products and training services worldwide, is pleased to announce the results of a Special Education student performance case study conducted at the Silverthorn Collegiate Institute in West Toronto.

Mount Knowledge conducted the pilot program using their proprietary products called Knowledge Generator™ which combines "visualization memory techniques" and a learning methodology called Syntality™. These learning tools were made available to a number of Special Needs students to determine the product's impact on the student's ability to rapidly learn up to 1000 new vocabulary words in terms of not only definition but use of the words in meaningful conversation and writing.

On June 15, 2010 at the Silverthorn campus, Mount Knowledge™ staff and executives presented students with awards and prizes for their achievements during this pilot program. Founder Erwin Sniedzins commented, "We knew the results would be positive but we are once again gratified by the student's accomplishments. Of the students in the program, the average retention of complex words was over 500 per student and their comprehension scores averaged in the high 80% range. We are very pleased."

The highest ranking student led the pack with mastery over 1000 new words and was eager to show onlookers how the program had helped empower him to learn like never before. Another student who learned over 500 words stated, "I have never been able to do essays or writing because of my lack of vocabulary. Since this program works the way my brain works, I now have no fear of essays because I now have a way to learn the words I used to struggle with."

Both faculty and the administration of Silverthorn were elated with the results and Principal Ron Ellis stated his intentions to share the product and the results to the entire faculty as his earliest opportunity. Ellis stated, "I am amazed at the extremely high level of concentration and the rapid learning that was achieved by our Special Needs students."
