PLEASANTON, CA--(Marketwire - July 28, 2010) - xMatters, the relevance engine company, today announced that two long-standing employees have been promoted to senior management roles: Simon Pius was named CFO and Doug Peete was named Vice President of Product Management. Both Pius and Peete have more than 15 years of industry experience, having spent the last four years of their careers with xMatters, formerly AlarmPoint Systems.
Pius, who previously served as xMatters' Vice President of Finance, joined the company in 2006, bringing more than 15 years of financial and analytical experience with leading software and technology firms. In his new role, in addition to managing day-to-day finance activities, he will be reviewing potential acquisitions as well as providing financial and operating metrics and systems for the high growth areas of xMatters and shareholder relations. He is the former Vice President and Controller at Evant, Inc., publicly-traded QRS Corporation and Bloomberg Financial. Pius earned a bachelor's degree in international management and an MBA in finance from Golden Gate University and is a certified management accountant.
Backed by over 15 years of experience in system architecture, product management, and engineering, Peete will be leading the product management function for all xMatters product lines. In his new role, Peete will develop a sustainable, accelerated roadmap for the xMatters relevance engines delivered on premise or in the cloud. He will work side by side with clients to deliver new products and services using the xMatters relevance engines. In a time where companies must choose to connect with their customers or risk becoming irrelevant, Peete will draw on his substantial product experience from Ariba, PeopleSoft, Vignette, and OnDisplay to deliver successful results. Doug holds a B.S. in Computer Engineering from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo.
