Fall Broadcast Returns With New Stories and a New Face


NEW YORK, Aug. 17, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Channel One News, the leading television news network for teens, today announced that Channel One programming is back in session and, with the start of the new school year, commencing a brand new year of bringing students and educators an engaging daily broadcast filled with new and dynamic integrations.

Channel One News 2010-2011 programming will include:

-- New Talent: Channel One News welcomes Shelby Holliday to its on-air reporting team. Ms. Holliday, who joins popular co-anchors Jessica Kumari, Steven Fabian, and Justin Finch, launched her career in journalism as a student reporter and producer for Palestra.net, a leading online college news network and, most recently, contributed live reports and in-studio appearances to Fox News Channel, Fox Business Network, and FOXNews.com through a relationship between Palestra.net and Fox News. Her coverage included the 2008 Presidential election, where she provided live updates on the influential youth vote. Ms. Holliday has been in the field all summer working on special coverage, including a report delving into the cosmetics industry and government regulation.
