G & L Beijer signs an agreement with GDF Suez

G & L Beijer AB has signed a strategic agreement with the French
company, GDF Suez, through Beijer Ref. GDF Suez is a world leader within
the energy sector. The agreement, which is a general global agreement,
means that Beijer Ref will be a preferred supplier to GDF Suez in all
markets. The agreement comprises Beijer Ref's entire product programme
within refrigeration systems and comfort cooling. 

GDF Suez reported sales of € 80 billion for 2009 and has approximately
200,000 employees. The group's main focus is on the power-production
markets in Europe and on exploration and production of natural gas
globally. 

GDF Suez is already a customer of Beijer Ref in some markets. The
agreement offers Beijer Ref a good potential for increasing its sales to
GDF Suez in both existing and new markets. This is the first agreement
of its kind that Beijer Ref has signed with a global customer. 

“In its global acquisition and growth strategy, Beijer Ref has focused
on synergies, especially within purchasing, which has resulted in
significant savings. Our agreement with GDF Suez is intended to create
synergies also on the customer and sales side and generate additional
revenues,” says Joen Magnusson, Managing Director of G & L Beijer.
