Jay Myers' "Keep Swinging" Business Biography Ranks Among Best Sellers for Sixth Straight Month

MEMPHIS, Tenn., Oct. 5, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The "Keep Swinging" business biography by Jay B. Myers ranked among the nation's top-selling business books for a sixth consecutive month in September, according to the Inc./800ceoread Business Best Seller List.

Myers is CEO of Interactive Solutions Inc., a Tennessee-based company that specializes in videoconferencing, distance-learning, telemedicine and audio-visual sales and support.

Widespread interest in the story of his journey from start-up entrepreneur through company survival threats to small business success earned Myers an Ethan Award nomination for entrepreneurial writing. The award presentation is set for October 28 in Las Vegas.

"Our story of struggle and success resonates with folks, whether they are would-be business owners or seasoned CEOs, especially in these challenging economic times," said Myers, who is one of ten Ethan Award finalists.

His "Keep Swinging" message is that persistence is a key to success in business and life. Myers delivers the message with humility after leading Interactive Solutions from humble beginnings through the challenges of a partnership divorce, a cancer scare, deaths in his family and a survival-threatening embezzlement to become a company which has ranked among Inc.'s fastest-growing private companies in America five times this decade.

"Keep Swinging" moved into the top 25 on the Business Book Bestseller List in April and broke into the top ten in June.  "Keep Swinging" ranked eighth on the list in August. The book moved up to sixth on the list in September.

The popularity of his book has created steady demand for Myers as an inspirational and motivational speaker. This month he is scheduled to address business-minded audiences at DePaul University in Chicago and in Nashville, among others.

Interactive Solutions provides cutting-edge audio/visual and video-conferencing solutions to corporate, education, government and healthcare markets and serves customers in 45 states and a dozen sites outside the continental United States. The company operates from offices in Knoxville, Nashville, Chattanooga, and Memphis in Tennessee; Birmingham, Alabama; Jackson and Oxford, Mississippi, and Little Rock, Arkansas.
