(www.verocel.com), an independent software verification company serving the global safety-critical software industry, announced today that it has incorporated a new subsidiary, Verocel Limited, based in Trowbridge, UK, to pursue business opportunities in the aerospace, railway, medical, and process industry sectors in the UK. Industry veteran Dewi Daniels has been named managing director of Verocel Limited.
The new subsidiary extends the company's physical presence in the expanding European market for safety-critical software verification services and products. Verocel Limited joins Verocel GmbH, based in Karlsruhe, Germany and established in 2005; and Verocel Sp.z.o.o. in Poznan, Poland, established in 2002. Verocel, Inc., headquartered here, was established in 1999.
Verocel enjoys a leadership position in the software industry where safety-critical applications must comply with rigorous standards and certification objectives. The company is active in such areas as airborne systems and equipment using DO-178B, process control using IEC 61508 (a functional safety standard applicable to multiple industries), automotive using ISO 26262, UAS (unmanned aircraft systems), and MILS (multiple independent levels of security).
