HAVRE DE GRACE, MD--(Marketwire - November 19, 2010) - Father Martin's Ashley, the nationally recognized private, non-profit alcoholism and drug addiction treatment center, today announced the promotion of George Plesniak, ACRPS, CAC-AD, M.S., as clinical program director.
Mr. Plesniak has been with Father Martin's Ashley since 1997, serving previously as a relapse addiction counselor and most recently as director of utilization review. In his new role, Mr. Plesniak will be responsible for all aspects of Father Martin's Ashley's clinical program including patient programming, scheduling, oversight of the Family Wellness and Children and Youth programs, and leadership of Ashley's clinical team. A frequent workshop presenter at Ashley's monthly Recovery Enrichment Days, Mr. Plesniak will continue to speak on topics related to addiction and recovery.

Prior to joining Ashley, George supervised the intensive outpatient addiction treatment program for Greenbriar Treatment Center in Pennsylvania, and previously was a counselor for a DUI substance abuse education program. In addition to his counseling CAC-AD credentials, Mr. Plesniak holds a Master of Science degree in business and industry counseling and a Bachelor of Arts in industrial and organizational psychology from the California University of Pennsylvania. He has conducted Gorski Relapse Process training and is ACRPS certified as a Relapse Counselor through the Center of Applied Sciences.
