SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - December 15, 2010) - On Tuesday, the Marin Association of REALTORS® awarded John A. Zeiter, of McGuire's Corte Madera office, REALTOR® of the Year at its annual awards luncheon in San Rafael, Calif.
Each year MAR honors an individual who best represents the organization's high standards of judgment, principles and ethical integrity, as well as their upstanding devotion to its advancement and success. A Marin County native, Zeiter joined the organization in 2003 and is a departing member of the Board of Directors. In 2007, he served as association secretary and was also named MAR's "Rising Star."
As a licensed agent/broker, Zeiter specializes in residential and investment/income properties throughout Marin County. Prior to his career in real estate, he had more than 20 years of experience in management and operations in the apparel and specialty food industry.
Zeiter's honor came as no surprise for Heidi Pay, Vice President and Sales Manager of McGuire Real Estate in Marin. "John is truly one of the most knowledgeable people in the business and has helped clients at all price points to make their best financial decisions," said Pay.
Zeiter currently sits on the Terra Linda Rotary Board of Directors and San Rafael Chamber of Commerce. His past accomplishments include chair to the Governmental Affairs Committee and Local Candidate Recommendation Committee, as well as treasurer and board member of the Terra Linda Scholarship Foundation. Zeiter is also the former board director of the Young Men's Ultimate Weekend, a youth non-profit located in San Rafael.
