These functional sessions are designed to familiarize users with various product features as well as help them get through confusing industry developments and regulatory compliance issues.
The launch of the 2011 series began with the very successful program on "Originator Compensation & the Fed Rule." The implications of the Fed Rule and its impact on originators spiked so much interest in the first session, guest speakers quickly agreed to hold a second presentation for Calyx users. Approximately 2000 individuals registered for both sessions. Compliance Manager Tom Estes of Abacus Mortgage Training & Education (Abacus) and Compliance Attorney Robert Lotstein provided valuable information about the rule and its actual affect on originator income. Paul Donohue, founder of Abacus, was on hand to moderate the first session.
