CapRock Selected as One of 46 Prime Vendors to be Awarded Basic Ordering Agreement by the Federal Bureau of Investigation; Continues String of Successful GSA Schedule 70 Awards

WASHINGTON, March 8, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- CapRock Government Solutions has been selected as one of 46 Prime Vendors to be awarded a Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) for the Federal Bureau of Investigation Information Technology Supplies and Support Services (FBI IT Triple S) vehicle.

CapRock was among 46 companies selected for the eight-year contract – including one base year and seven option years – that has a ceiling value of $30 billion. The vehicle covers a wide range of IT equipment and services required by the FBI. It is the largest ever awarded by the agency.

The agreement will allow the FBI to significantly reduce acquisition costs by utilizing a vehicle specifically designed to focus on the agency's mission to produce and use intelligence to protect the nation from threats and bring to justice those who violate the law. All departments within the FBI and all organizations within the Department of Justice are authorized to use the vehicle to access the services and products offered within the scope of the agreement.

"CapRock was chosen based on our ability to develop best value, innovative solutions for the FBI that provide the technical services they need to accomplish critical mission objectives," said David Myers, president, CapRock Government Solutions. "We look forward to competing on this important vehicle and providing a full range of services and expertise to meet the worldwide needs of the Department of Justice."

To support upcoming task orders for FBI IT Triple S, CapRock will leverage its network of subcontractors including, Harris IT Services, Cogent Systems, Core180, createTank, EOIR Technologies, FCN Technology Solutions, Global Science & Technology, Inc., Innovative Management & Technology Services, LLC, Innovative Solutions Technology, Powertek, U.S. Information Technologies Corporation, Trinity Video Communications, and WhiteOak Group.

The agreement highlights the company's ability to provide critical value-added services and significant cost savings for the Department of Defense and Federal Civilian Agencies. Last month CapRock was one of the first government contractors added to the new sections of the GSA Federal Supply Schedule 70 vehicle. The special item numbers (SINs) for commercial satellite communications services were added to the agency's contract as part of the Future Commercial Satellite Acquisition (FCSA) vehicle that GSA is managing in partnership with the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA). The SINs allow customers to purchase pre-packaged and pre-engineered fixed or mobile satellite service solutions and any related equipment and terrestrial components.
