MINNEAPOLIS, MN--(Marketwire - March 30, 2011) - Despatch Industries, a leading technology and equipment provider for the solar industry, recently completed rigorous testing on advancements to the company's CF Series firing furnace platform. The most notable advancements are to the product's maximum belt speed and heating and cooling rates. Belt speed, a variable that can be instrumental in shaping thermal profiles, is increased up to 300 inches per minute while maintaining its market leading accuracy, stability and uniformity. Significant advancements in thermal transfer methods, particularly cooling, allows for increased maximum ramp rates. The CF Series is now capable of maximum ramp rates up to 200°C for heating and cooling.
"We are pleased to announce these product advancements to our market leading CF Series firing furnace platform," states Erik Anderson, Product Manager, Despatch Solar. "While not all current cell architectures require extreme belt speeds and increased ramp rates, we continue to build our product extendibility for future developmental architectures and materials that will be in production tomorrow."
