CHICAGO, IL and PARIS--(Marketwire - April 6, 2011) - Enablon, the world's leading provider of Sustainability and QEHS management software today announced it has been accredited by the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) for the ability to meet the organization's standards for calculating and reporting carbon emissions information. Enablon was selected as an official Carbon Calculation Partner after a thorough product testing and review process by a respected third party.
Enablon Energy & Carbon Management suite (Enablon ECM) is broadly recognized as one of the leading energy and carbon management platforms in the market. It is one of the most widely used solutions worldwide for carbon and sustainability management.
The Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) is an independent not-for-profit organization collecting key climate change data from some 3,000 companies around the globe and has assembled the largest database of corporate greenhouse gas emissions and climate change information in the world. The accreditation as CDP Carbon Calculation Partner puts the stamp of approval on Enablon Sustainability Performance Management Software for use by organizations to measure and report emissions to the CDP.
"With its strong track record in sustainability management software, we are delighted to welcome Enablon as a carbon calculation partner," says Joanna Lee, chief partnerships officer. "Enablon can help companies make significant strides in more efficient gathering of critical carbon and climate change data and we look forward to working with them."
"As the world's largest sustainability management software provider, Enablon empowers global companies with solutions that enable them to achieve the highest standards of sustainability performance. Becoming a CDP Accredited Partner is significant for our customers as the CDP has become one of the leading standards for the carbon disclosure methodology and process," said Phil Tesler, CEO of Enablon North America.
To achieve accreditation, Enablon participated in an extensive evaluation to demonstrate amongst other things compatibility with the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Protocol for calculating GHG emissions. The GHG Protocol is the most widely used international accounting standard for business leaders to understand, quantify, and manage greenhouse gas emissions.
Enablon ECM is a broad and modular software platform, which enables scope 1, 2 and 3 GHG reporting and compliance with voluntary and mandatory programs across the globe. Enablon ECM is composed of the following applications:
