Fibre Channel Industry Association Expands 2010/2011 Board With Addition of Storage Industry Veterans


SAN FRANCISCO, April 21, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Fibre Channel Industry Association (FCIA), a non-profit international organization of manufacturers, systems integrators and vendors today announces two additions to the 2010/2011 Board of Directors.

The members of the 2010/2011 FCIA Board of Directors are as follows:

FCIA Officers:

•  Chairman: Skip Jones – QLogic
•  Vice Chairman Mark Jones – Emulex
•  Secretary: Greg McSorley – Amphenol
•  Treasurer: Tom Hammond-Doel – LSI Corporation

Members at Large:

•  Anthony Faustini – Cisco Systems
•  Rick Jooss – NetApp
•  Jay Neer – Molex
•  Steven Wilson – Brocade
•  Rupin Mohan – Hewlett-Packard
•  Kevin Ehringer – Data Center Systems (DCS)

Joining the board are Rupin Mohan and Kevin Ehringer – two industry veterans with over thirty five years of combined storage networking experience. In addition to these two new additions Mark Jones has assumed the Vice Chairman role of the FCIA. "Speaking on behalf of the board we are excited to have these two new additions to help us continue the advancement of the Fibre Channel technology," said Greg McSorley FCIA secretary and acting chairman.

The FCIA organization consists of over 80 companies globally, all of which are leaders in the Fibre Channel industry and continue to provide thought leadership, education and guidance to the growing storage networking market.
