Tele2 Russia awarded 6 new GSM licenses


Stockholm - Tele2 AB (Tele2), (NASDAQ OMX Stockholm: TEL2 A and TEL2 B) today
announced that it has been awarded 6 new GSM licenses in Russia. Including those
new licenses, Tele2 Russia's footprint will cover 43 regions with a total
population of more than 62 million.
