BANFF, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - April 28, 2011) -Sunshine Village announces four musical weekends to wrap up the best snow season in 41 years.
This weekend, April 30 and May 1, rock legend Gilby Clarke, who achieved fame in the 1990s as a guitarist with Guns N' Roses, leads off the live outdoor music with daily shows, starting at 2 p.m. The live shows can be seen by anyone with a lift ticket or season pass. Non-skiers may also buy a gondola-only ticket to reach the concert area, locate high in the Canadian Rockies.
Molson's Coors Light Cold Party also occurs this weekend.
Subsequent weekends include performances by country greats Adam Gregory, George Canyon and the reggae-inflected New Moon during the world-famous Slush Cup weekend.
Sunshine is also offering a chance to win free tickets to any of the shows. Anyone who clicks "like" on Sunshine's official Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/SunshineVillageResort will be entered into a draw to win the tickets.
Each day, Monday to Friday, Sunshine will give away 50 sets of two concert tickets for the upcoming Saturday show and 50 sets of two tickets for Sunday.
Sunshine is experiencing the best snow conditions in 41 years of recorded history. Its season concludes with the 83rd annual Slush Cup, on Monday, May 23rd.
