PROVO, UT--(Marketwire - May 16, 2011) - MultiLing Corporation today announced a collaborative effort to assist the translation and language programs at Brigham Young University and Utah Valley University. Through this collaboration, MultiLing will create internships, orient advisers and faculty on language career opportunities, coach freshman and sophomore students in selecting majors and courses, and recruit qualified graduates.
"MultiLing is experiencing significant growth and has an increasing need to hire individuals with foreign language talent who can edit and review translations for international businesses," said Michael Sneddon, CEO of MultiLing.
Finding qualified and interested candidates is a top priority for MultiLing, which is well known in its industry for specializing in translating and localizing patents, marketing materials, and other sophisticated documents for high-tech, medical, and manufacturing businesses.
"Universities are ideal partners to address these labor market and employment issues," said Cory Duckworth, vice president of student affairs at Utah Valley University. "MultiLing seeks to hire students and graduates, while universities seek employment opportunities to place students and graduates. In addition, university faculty benefit from collaborating with MultiLing because they find real-world applications for principles and models taught in the classroom."
MultiLing believes universities and corporations share a mutual responsibility to improve the communities in which they reside or from which they draw their students. Collaborations between MultiLing and institutions of higher education will strengthen these relationships.
MultiLing anticipates collaboration with more colleges and universities in the future.
