LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - May 18, 2011) - Stantum (www.stantum.com), a pioneer developer of multi-touch technology, announced today that its patented Interpolated Voltage Sensing Matrix (IVSM) technology now supports Google's Android operating system. IVSM technology's native compatibility with Android's multi-touch framework is being showcased on a demonstration kit in Stantum's booth (#1354) at the SID Display Week exhibition in Los Angeles.

Resulting from Stantum's longtime involvement in the Linux community, IVSM support of the Android OS extends to Android 2.1 and higher, with Linux kernel 2.6.30 and higher on x86 and ARM platforms. The technology is also compatible with the Windows OS and features Windows 7 certification.
