The Harrington Demo Van is a fully equipped hoist showroom on wheels that visits plant sites across the country. Harrington has three (3) vans constantly traveling the road, providing access to customers of their 24 sales reps. The van is described as a mobile mini-lifting lab that allows plant production personnel and management the hands-on experience of using different hoists manufactured by Harrington Hoists, Inc.

"The Harrington Demo Van is met with great enthusiasm everywhere we go," said Rineer. I remember a trip to a steel mill in Reading, PA. I pulled up in the demo van, really a thing of beauty, Harrington's product line on wheels: manual hoists, electric hoists, pneumatic hoists, even a wire rope hoist.

"It was neat to see everyone's face; I don't think they really believed all we had, and the fact that we had all the units operating -- even a dynamometer to test and display Harrington's LB lever hoist with Slip Clutch and LB Load Limit Warning Handle. When the maintenance supervisor stepped on board he went right to the NERM three phase electric trolley hoist hanging in the back of the van, which contains an under the cover VFD (Variable Frequency Drive ) for dual speed operation. It was like an answer to his prayers. The trip was appreciated by all who toured, and we had several comments on the convenience of viewing the van. On the way out everybody helped themselves to all the literature we had and the rest of our doughnuts. It was another successful trip, and from all the questions asked, I know we offered new production solutions and opportunities for their hoist upgrades.
