Corel Launches Free Service Pack for VideoStudio Pro X4

Corel today released a free performance enhancer for Corel^(R) VideoStudio^(R) Pro X4. Taking advantage of the latest advancements in chip technology from processor heavyweight AMD, this update boosts the already impressive speed and functionality of VideoStudio Pro X4 to even greater levels. Service Pack 1 supports VideoStudio's ongoing dedication to provide superior performance, ease-of-use and speed to customers seeking an affordable and intuitive consumer video editing solution.

By leveraging the advanced performance capabilities of AMD Fusion APUs (Accelerated Processing Units), which feature discrete-class GPU technology, Service Pack 1 provides X4 users with significant improvements for SD-to-HD upscaling and other AVCHD workflows. VideoStudio Pro X4, in combination with PCs powered by AMD's latest processors, increased performance speed up 97% when going from SD video in MPEG-2 format to HD in H.264. Transcode speed is also increased by over 93% when going from 1920x1080 HD in MPEG-2 format to 1920x1080 HD in AVCHD format*.
