AUSTIN, TX--(Marketwire - Jun 28, 2011) - Apogee, the nation's largest provider of managed residential network (ResNet) services to higher education, announced today the immediate availability of a new "call-back" feature to its state-of-the-art 24/7 support center. Apogee's support center provides comprehensive network and connectivity support for desktop and laptop computers, as well as all the network-enabled devices that students bring to campus. Beginning this month, students who are connected to Apogee's nationwide network can simply send a text message to the Apogee support center and schedule a return call at their convenience.
"Apogee's new call-back feature offers tremendous flexibility to our student customers," said Jeff Tobias, Director of Student Services. "We currently provide full network support to more students living on campus than any other ResNet program in the country. By adding this new student-focused component to our support program, we're able to assist even more people and provide a range of support options that allows individual customers to choose what fits them best."
The new call-back support feature is only the latest addition to Apogee's continually-evolving support center. Located at the company's corporate office in Austin, Texas, Apogee's 24-hour support center regularly undergoes system-wide technology refreshes and expansion. Recently, the support center was renovated to accommodate an ever-growing team of support team members and upgraded to feature an all-digital Voice-over-IP (VoIP) phone system capable of quickly scaling to meet the needs of Apogee's rapidly expanding customer base.
"Our commitment is and always has been to provide the highest level of service and support to our student residents," said Chuck Brady, Apogee CEO. "This latest innovation is only one of the many new, exciting technology-driven advancements that we're constantly implementing in order to provide a true standard of excellence for our student and university customers." Toll-free support is available to Apogee's residential student customers 24-hours a day, 7 days a week.
