BETHESDA, Md., July 11, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Case Design/Remodeling, Inc., a leading DC Metro area home improvement company, announced today that it teamed with Homes for Our Troops and other volunteers to build a specially adapted home for Marine Sgt. Adam Kisielewski (Kiss-leski) in Frederick, Md. Adam lost his left arm at the shoulder and his right leg below the knee when an IED detonated as a trigger-wired door was opened while looking for insurgents near Fallujah, Iraq in August 2005.
On Saturday, July 16, 2011 at 11 a.m., Case Design/Remodeling, Inc., the general contractor, along with Homes for Our Troops will give the key to the new home, built at no cost to the family, to Adam, his wife Carrie, and their son Evan. Adam's previous home was on three floors with narrow doorways that required him to wear his prosthetic leg all day. Now with his new one-level home featuring wide hallways and hard-surfaced floors, Adam will have easy access to everything. An active volunteer who assists military members and their families, Adam knows how important a support system can be to those facing the affects of deployment and for those returning home severely injured. "Case is honored to contribute to Homes for Our Troops, and we welcomed the opportunity to help repay Sgt. Kisielewski and his family for the incredible sacrifice they made for our country," says Bruce Case, president of Case Design/Remodeling.
Saturday's agenda includes an Honor Guard presentation by The American Legion, the National Anthem sung by Sam Lewis, and an opening prayer by Pastor Howard Ruley. John Gonsalves, founder and president of Homes for Our Troops, will welcome and thank the community as well as Case's President Bruce Case. He will introduce Adam, hand him the key to his new home at 11492 Daysville Road, Frederick, Md. 21701, and start the home tour.
