REDWOOD CITY, Calif., Aug. 2, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Informatica Corporation (NASDAQ: INFA), the world’s number one independent leader in data integration software, today announced that the Informatica Marketplace, a global online community of more than 125,000 active data integration users and developers, and now one year old, has grown to become the largest, most robust open marketplace focused on data integration since launching in Summer 2010.
In its first year, the Informatica Marketplace has grown 500 percent in number of sellers and 280 percent in number of solutions offered and added four specialized Malls: Cloud Data Integration, Debugging Tools, Productivity Tools and, most recently, Big Data. Through the Informatica Marketplace, buyers connect with sellers in order to leverage solutions and services, called Blocks that augment, extend or enhance their data integration implementations.

Sellers on the Informatica Marketplace connect with more than 125,000 Marketplace members in over 100 countries. This enables them to economically extend their market reach, gain ideas and insights for new offerings, and realize incremental revenues. In many cases, sizable enterprise-level deals have originated on the Marketplace.
