WHAT: In order to help the 5-7 million companion animals that enter shelters every year find loving homes, every PETCO™ store will host pet adoption events the weekend of August 13, 2011. Innova® Pet Food is sponsoring the events by providing a free small bag of its dry dog or cat food (while supplies last) to people who adopt a pet during PETCO's National Adoption Weekend. In addition, all pet parents who adopt enjoy additional savings from PETCO's Think Adoption First Care and Savings program.
The events will provide animal lovers across the nation the chance to meet many adoptable pets, learn about local animal adoption groups, inquire about the best ways to care for a new pet, and find out about PETCO's Think Adoption First program.
