IRVINE, CA--(Marketwire - Sep 9, 2011) - Lucy Dunn, Orange County Business Council's President and CEO and California Transportation Commissioner, received Mobility 21's Private Sector Leader of the Year Award at the 10th Annual Mobility 21 Summit on Tuesday, September 6, 2011 in Los Angeles.
More than 1,000 people converged upon the JW Marriott at L.A. Live to pledge their commitment to keep transportation investment at the forefront of state and federal priorities. Elected officials, transportation experts and business leaders came together to highlight innovative ways the region is advocating to create jobs and influence legislation in the face of a chronic underinvestment in transportation infrastructure.
OCTA CEO and Mobility 21 Board Chairman Will Kempton presented Ms. Dunn with the award for her extensive work delivering transportation funding for Southern California to widen freeways, repair roads and improve transit.
