LAS VEGAS, NV--(Marketwire - Nov 1, 2011) - The Las Vegas community is invited to experience "Operation HeartReach," a benefit for Children's Heart Foundation on Thursday, November 10, 2011. "Operation HeartReach" is graciously hosted by Children's Heart Foundation's Board Members, Francine Sanchez and Julie Downs. Sanchez, reigning Mrs. Las Vegas-America 2012 and advocate for congenital heart disease research, along with Downs are spearheading the movement to make Las Vegas a leader in congenital heart disease research. The beginning of their dreams and plans begin with "Operation HeartReach."

Some of Las Vegas' most notable business people, entertainers and socialites are slated to walk the red carpet beginning at 6 p.m. "Operation HeartReach" will feature one of a kind silent and live auction items including "Oprah's Favorite Things" Judith Ripka canary Eclipse earrings, a Los Angeles package that includes a "Dancing with the Stars" experience featuring brothers Maksim and Valentin Chmerkovskiy, a New York City experience (and your choice of tickets to many of Manhattan's premier TV show tapings) and more. Proceeds from this event will formally launch fundraising congenital heart disease research in Nevada. In addition, a portion of the funds will launch "family backpacks" which are fully loaded backpacks with essential items for families who have a "heart child" in the hospital.

The mission of the Children's Heart Foundation is to improve the care and quality of life for children in Nevada who are born with or develop heart problems. The Foundation has three main goals: to provide a carefree camp experience for children with heart conditions; to educate healthcare professionals and the general public on pediatric cardiology issues; to lend support to families as they deal with the emotional and financial toll exacted by a child's heart problems.
