ATLANTA, Nov. 9, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Racemi announced today its DynaCenter can now quickly and easily migrate server images to public cloud provider GoGrid and CA’s AppLogic cloud computing platform.
The latest release, DynaCenter 4.1, is image-based provisioning software that automates the movement of entire server images, whether physical or virtual - including operating systems, storage and network configurations and applications - to a cloud computing resource or another physical or virtual server. Unlike other technologies, Racemi does not require modifications to the server workload.
Support for GoGrid is added to existing support for Amazon EC2, Rackspace and Terremark. With Racemi DynaCenter, it is also possible to move workloads among these cloud computing providers, as well as to another physical or virtual server - in any combination or direction.
The newly introduced DynaCenter software also significantly reduces the time it takes CA AppLogic customers to migrate existing servers to that platform. Until now, this was a manual process that could take several man hours per server. By automating this migration process, DynaCenter customers can now migrate multiple servers at once to the AppLogic platform, in significantly less time per server.

DynaCenter migrates workloads by comparing the configurations of the source and destination servers, and configuring the necessary network, storage, and virtual machine components "in-flight" to ensure that the image can be run on the target cloud platform.
