SANTA CRUZ, CA--(Marketwire - Nov 15, 2011) - MotionX® is excited to announced and congratulate its spokesperson and Olympic skier Eva Twardokens as she is inducted into the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame.
The U.S. Ski and Snowboarding Hall of Fame inducted eight skiing greats to its Class of 2011 Hall of Fame -- headlined by 1985 World Championship bronze medalist Eva Twardokens and 2002 Olympic silver medalist Joe Pack. The class is made up of a broad spectrum of elite skiers, writers and ski industry leaders. The formal induction ceremony will take place Saturday, April 14, 2012 in Seattle, with an enshrinement ceremony at the Hall of Fame in Ishpeming later in the year.
"Eva is a fantastic athlete and the perfect MotionX ambassador," said Philippe Kahn, founder and CEO of Fullpower-MotionX. "The success of the new MotionX-GPS is a testament to her brilliant skills."
Eva became a spokesperson for MotionX in 2008. As a MotionX-GPS fan, she uses MotionX-GPS on her iPhone to share the sport of skiing from her unique point of view by posting her speed, location and photos of the mountain from resorts around the world to friends and family. Additionally Eva puts MotionX-GPS through its paces as she cross-trains -- for running, biking, paddle boarding and her other outdoor adventures.
"My parents and I are overjoyed," said Eva Twardokens. "This honor validates my career on the snow, and I thank the board and my peers for awarding me for this fantastic recognition!"
