The annual St. Jude Give thanks. Walk. in Dallas / Ft. Worth to raise money for childhood cancer research.
Who:
GE Energy has formed the 'Power Walkers' team participating in this year's DFW Give thanks. Walk. The Dallas event and 'Power Walker' team has been the leading Give thanks. Walk. fundraiser in the nation for the past two years. GE Energy has already raised over $20,000 for childhood cancer research this year, including a special 'St. Jude Night at the Reds' event.
Earlier this year, GE launched a billion dollar commitment to accelerate the fight against cancer. GE's integrated technology portfolio and collaboration with doctors and researchers is targeted to deliver better care to 10 million patients by 2020.

Dallas: Fair Park, starting at Big Tex Circle.
Ft. Worth: Ridgmar Mall
When:
Saturday, November 19. Ft. Worth walk starts at 7:15 am. Dallas walk starts at 8:00 am. Registration opens one hour prior. Participants can register in advance online at www.givethankswalk.org.
Why:
Supporters in the Dallas / Ft. Worth metroplex, along with 80 other cities nationwide, come together by participating in the Give thanks. Walk. to raise money for research to combat childhood cancer and support families who have children diagnosed with cancer and other catastrophic diseases. St. Jude freely donates its research to other children's hospitals across the country, including Children's Medical Center in Dallas and others in our area. No child is ever denied treatment because of their family's inability to pay.
