Veritas Prep Donates Scholarships to Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America to Help Veterans Transition From Combat to the Classroom

Veritas Prep Partners With IAVA to Offer Veteran Members Scholarships and Discounts for GMAT Prep and Admissions Consulting Services


MALIBU, CA--(Marketwire - Dec 7, 2011) - Veritas Prep, a leading GMAT prep and graduate school admissions consulting firm, announced today it will donate 50 scholarships to Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America (IAVA), the country's first and largest nonprofit, nonpartisan organization for veterans of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. As part of the partnership, Veritas Prep will award 50 scholarships to qualified IAVA Member Veterans, 25 for GMAT prep courses and 25 for graduate school admissions consulting services offered by Veritas Prep. The partnership will help veterans interested in earning a graduate degree become more competitive candidates.

The GMAT Scholarship Program allows winners to take the Veritas Prep GMAT prep course of their choice, either in-person or online. Every winner will receive Veritas Prep's full suite of 15 GMAT course books and extensive online resources. The Admissions Consulting Scholarship grants winners six hours of admissions consulting with a Veritas Prep admissions expert per scholarship. Application materials must be submitted by Tuesday, December 27 and winners will be notified by January 9, 2012. Additionally, Veritas Prep will offer 50% off all its GMAT courses and 25% off all its admissions consulting services for any qualified IAVA Member Veteran.

To be eligible for a scholarship, applicants must have finished college or be in his or her final year of college. Applicants must also be registered IAVA Member Veterans and apply via TheRucksack.org. Applications include three essay questions in addition to an application form. A panel of judges represented by the Veritas Prep and IAVA staff will select the recipients.
